Sundays

Sunday mornings are a prime opportunity for us as a local body of Christians to pursue two of our core values, those of community and worship.

This is a time when we can gather the whole church together, young and old, single and married; for two main purposes: to enjoy worshipping God together, and to build one another up.

Our worship is free, and charismatic, and lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. This is a time when we enjoy God, and seek to allow him to move amongst us in the person of his Holy Spirit, and speak to us. We are led by a worship leader and a small group of musicians, but they only provide a framework, which we often leave behind once we are standing before the throne of God! We encourage the use of the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives us to build one another up, through reading of scripture, prayer, prophecy, tongues and interpretation, prophetic songs etc.

Our children stay with us for the first 20 minutes, and then they go to their own groups, where they will often continue to worship, and then move into other activities, normally involving a great deal of fun and laughter! We currently have two age groups; mini kids for preschool and reception, and Jubilee kids for year one and above.

We also gather together to encourage one another as the Bible tells us to do. This is always through the teaching of the word of God, but is not restricted to this alone. We encourage people to pray for one another before and after the meeting, and will sometimes have a ministry time at the end of the preaching as well. We love to see the downhearted lifted up, and everyone to be encouraged through God’s word, and the gifts of the Spirit. We have also seen a number of healings in the last year.

We love to spend time eating together, and so we have a “bring and share” meal together after the Sunday meeting once every six weeks, and at other times we have refreshments together after the meeting and then people offer hospitality to one another and visitors in their own homes. Our meals together are times of great fun where the whole church family just enjoys relaxing in one another’s presence, and of course enjoying a meal together. We always have an abundance of food no matter how many visitors we have! When the weather is fine we spill out onto the fields as well, and enjoy games together.

Many visitors often comment to us that the welcome is warm and the fellowship is inviting, so why not come and see for yourself?
